Cap Nails
Cap nails feature a large 1" diameter cap that keeps the nail head from cutting into and damaging soft materials. AFT offers a variety of plastic cap and either square or round metal cap nails.
Plastic cap nails are designed for anchoring sheathing, roofing felt, building papers and polyfilm vapor barriers to buildings. Its ring shank delivers strong holding power and is available in either 11 or 12 gauge diameter. Lengths for plastic cap nails range from 3/4" to 3"
Square and round metal cap nails are suitable for the same applications as plastic cap varieties, but they can be used to attach asphalt shingles and insulation as well. Metal cap nails are available in a wider range of lengths and gauges than their plastic cap relative, from 3/4" to 6" and 8-12 gauge. Choose either a ring or spiral shank.
