Plumbers’ rolls are the preferred coated abrasive for plumbers, and are available in a waterproof cloth or waterproof sandscreen. These reusable sanding rolls can be used on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals though the sandscreen roll and also be used on ceramic surfaces.

Shop Rolls

Great for all hand sanding, including deburring, cleaning, and polishing, the coated abrasive 50 yard shop rolls come in a convenient dispenser box. The aluminum oxide material is strong and long-lasting while able to easily tear for needed length. Grit options range from 40 up to 400, in 1”, 1-1/2”, and 2” widths. The sandpaper option for any shop!

Stearated Rolls

Stearated non-loading sandpaper, also known as self-lubricating sandpaper, has a dry lubricant added to the paper to prevent clogging and to extend the life of the sandpaper. Silicon carbide stearated sandpaper can be used on wood, fiberglass, paint, plastic, stone, and glass. Aluminum oxide stearated sandpaper can be used on wood, lacquers, paint, fillers, primer, and metal. Grit options range from 60 to 320 in either 10 yard or 25 yard rolls.

Sandpaper Grit Numbers

The grit number of sandpaper indicates the size of the abrasive particles. The lower the number, the larger the abrasive particles and more coarse, whereas the larger the number the smaller the abrasive particle and more fine. Each product’s grit options may be slightly different, however you can follow these general guidelines:

Grit 30-60: Coarse

Grit 80-120: Medium

Grit 150-180: Fine

Grit 220-320: Very Fine
