Elevator Bolts
Elevator bolts are a type of bolt that are commonly used in the agricultural and industrial industries for attaching conveyor belts to buckets and other equipment. They are called "elevator bolts" because they are often used to attach buckets to conveyor belts in grain elevators, which are used to transport grain and other materials vertically.
Elevator bolts are typically made of steel or stainless steel and have a wide, countersunk flat head, a shallow conical bearing surface, a square neck, and a unified thread pitch. The square neck is designed to prevent the bolt from turning when it is tightened, while the tapered shank helps to ensure a tight fit in the hole. They are usually available in a range of sizes and lengths to accommodate different applications.
One of the key features of elevator bolts is that they are designed to be used with a specific type of nut, known as an elevator nut. Elevator nuts are thinner and wider than standard nuts, and are designed to be used in conjunction with elevator bolts to provide a secure and tight fit.

Our steel elevator bolts are made from AISI 1006-1050 or equivalent steel with either a plain or zinc finish. The zinc chromate finish provides additional oxidation and corrosion protection which can form due to moisture.
Note: To determine the thread length of the bolt, the thread length will equal twice the basic bolt diameter plus .25”.
