Aluminum Files

Aluminum files feature a fast-cutting tooth design that virtually eliminates clogging when used for filing soft metals. They are double-cut and available in either flat or half-round files. File length sizes range from 8 inch to 14 inch.

Chain Saw Files

Curved Tooth Files

Dual files are great for edge filing of laminates. The have a rectangular/round shape and feature a large handle for easy use and one safe edge for filing corners. Farmer’s Own Files

The farmer’s own file is great for agricultural use. Like the dual file, the farmer’s own file has a round/rectangular shape, features a large handle for ease of use, and one safe edge for filing corners. East side provides a different benefit - one double-cut side for faster cutting and one single-cut side for a slower, more precise cut. Choose between an 8 inch, 10 inch or 12 inch file.

File & Rasp Combo

The file and rasp combo is a versatile file for wood and soft metals with a heavy-duty rasp on one side and a file for lighter work on the other side. The combo rasp/file also has a built-in handle for ease of use.

File Sets

Flat Files

Flat files are general purpose, versatile files used by machinists, repairmen, and others who require rapid stock removal of metal. The flat files are double-cut and tapered at the point for detailed work. They are available in either bastard cut (coarse), second cut (medium), or smooth cut (fine). Small files and large files are available with sizes ranging from 4 inches through 18 inches.

Half Round Files

Half round files are rounded on one side and flat on the other. They are ideal for rounding out holes, and can be used on concave, convex, or flat surfaces. The half round file for metal removes material but leaves a smooth finish, and is available in bastard cut (coarse), second cut (medium), or smooth cut (fine). Both small files and large files are available with sizes ranging from 4 inches through 16 inches.

Hand Files

Hand files are similar to a flat file but without the taper at the point. They feature one uncut (safe) edge for filing up to corners, and available in bastard cut (coarse), second cut (medium), or smooth cut (fine). File sizes range from 8 inch through 14 inch.

Knife Files

Knife files are used primarily by tool and die makers for use on slots, keyways, and acute angles. This knife-shaped file is available in bastard cut (coarse), second cut (medium), or smooth cut (fine). Small 4 inch files are available up through larger 10 inch files.

Lathe Files

Lathe files are used for finish lathe work on either hard or soft metals. They cut faster than standard mill files and leaves a smoother finish. Both edges of the lathe file are uncut (safe). File sizes range from 8 inch to 14 inch.

Mill Files

Choose between a single cut or blunt mill file. The single-cut mill file is primarily used for sharpening saws, lathes, and tools. It can be used for filing, finishing, and general shop use, and is tapered at the point with two square edges for detail work. Single-cut mill files are available in bastard cut (coarse), second cut (medium), or smooth cut (fine) with sizes ranging from 4 inches through 14 inches. Blunt mill files have parallel sides and two round edges.

Pillar Files

Pillar files are used by machinists for filing slots and keyways. They feature a rectangular cross section and one uncut (safe) edge. Pillar files are slightly narrower than hand files and available in bastard cut (coarse), second cut (medium), or smooth cut (fine) with sizes ranging from 6 inches through 10 inches.

Pipeliner Files

Pipeliner files are single-cut, rounded on one side and flat on the other. They can be used on concave, convex, and flat surfaces.

Rapid Cross Cut Files

Rapid cross cut files are the fastest cut files for a wide range of plastics, laminates, and other soft materials. Choose from lengths ranging from 8 inches through 14 inches.

Saw Files

Saw files are used for sharpening teeth and filing gullets on saws. Choose from many options including: regular taper, slim taper, extra slim taper, double extra slim taper, cant saw, double ender, and cross cut.

Spot Welder Tip Files

Spot welder tip files are designed to dress spot welder tips. The file is cut on the concave side and uncut (safe) on the other side.

Square Files

Square files are used for filing slots, keyways, square holes, and general surface filing. It’s a double cut file and all four surfaces have equal filing surfaces. Square file sizes range from 4 inch to 14 inch.

Three Square Files

Three square files have a triangular shape and used by machinists for angles less than 90 degrees on corners, and filing cutters and taps. This file can get into areas that others cannot. File sizes range from 4 inch through 14 inch.

Warding Files

Also known as “The Locksmith File”, warding files are used for repairing and filing ward notches in locks and keys, as well as used in narrow spaces where other small files will not fit. The file is double-cut on its sides and single cut on the edges.
