Frame Bolts

Frame bolts, also known as hex flange screws, are a one-piece hex-washer head bolt with a flat bearing surface. Frame bolts are commonly used on truck frames, giving them their name. The flange eliminates the need for a washer and helps to compensate when holes are misaligned. When used with a Grade-G lock nut, the frame bolt system resists bolt slippage by distributing the clamp load over a wide area. AFT offers frame bolts in both metric and SAE sizes and in a variety of grades including Grade-5, Grade-8, Grade-9, Class 8.8, and Class 10.9. Our finish offerings include furnace black, black phosphate, trivalent RoHS, and Zinc Yellow, however we’re able to custom coat any fastener through our in-house plating department. AFT is always here to help, so if you don’t see the exact frame bolt or size you need, please contact us for assistance.
