Masonry Drill Bits

With a high speed steel shank and carbide tip for durability, masonry drill bits are typically used in portable hammer drills to drill into brick, block, stone, tile or concrete. They are also useful for installing wiring and plumbing conduit in existing buildings. The hammer drill pounds the masonry bit into the material being penetrated at the same time that it rotates, allowing the cutting blades to land on a different location with each blow, thus chipping away at the surface. AFT offers a wide variety of types and sizes. When selecting a masonry drill bit and using the menus to the left to filter your search, keep in mind that the "style" selector refers to the shape of the shank. Select the shank that matches the chuck on your drilling tool. Stock up today on masonry drill bits from AFT!

Norseman Drill & Tool Masonry Drill Bits

Especially suited for drilling 2500-5000 psi concrete, Type 214 drill bits from Norseman Drill & Tool are all purpose, heavy duty hardened steel drills with carbide tips and a slow spiral. They are treated with a black surface and bronze-colored tip. Recommended for both impact and rotary hammer use, these drill bits are available in diameters ranging from 1/8" to 5/8" and lengths from 3" to 13".

High performance Type 217 masonry drill bits fit most standard installation tools and are designed for use with Tapcon style masonry anchoring systems. With a hardened steel alloy body and a close tolerance carbide tip, these drills boast a long life and deliver superior performance.

Type 605 Rugged Precision Core bits are designed for use with heavy-duty hammer-action electric tools. With special carbide tips and a tough alloy body, these drills will deliver long life and maximum power in even the most demanding conditions. They have deep spirals for fast dust removal and a specially engineered percussion carbide tip that can withstand continuous hammering action. With bodies drilled and threaded to receive 3/4-10 threaded shanks, these percussion core bits can also be used for heavy rotary drilling using standard rotary core drill shanks. Diameters range from 1" to 4-/2" with a standard 6" body length.

Type 606 Impact Hammer Drills feature a slot drive system (SDS) that works with all rotary hammers that specify a SDS shank. The positive drive slots offer maximum torque that contributes to the overall performance excellence of these drills in a variety of masonry applications. Diameters range from 3/16" to 1" and lengths vary from 4" to 18.

With an extra-strength shank and percussion grade carbide tips, Heavy-Duty Spline Bits are suitable for most demanding hammer drill applications. Diameters range from 3/8" to 1-1/2" with three drilling depth lengths - 6", 12", or 18".

Type 609 Extra Heavy-Duty Impact Hammer Drills excel in the roughest drilling applications. With a heat treated alloy steel body and tough percussion tips that can be re-sharpened many times, these drills stay useful over an extra-long life. They have a straight shank designed for use in hammers fitted with a Jacobs type chuck. With diameters ranging from 1/8" to 1-1/2" and lengths spanning 2" to 18", you're sure to find the impact hammer masonry drill you need.
