Hook Bolts, J-Bolts, or Bent Bolts have two designs used in rock quarries and mines. The J-Bolt Special Bend, otherwise known as Hook Bolt or Shaker Screen Bolt, supports angled ironed shaker screen frames. Resembling a checkmark, the bolt is heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of 25/34 to improve resistance to bending. Heat treatment improves resistance to bending and strength to a Rockwell hardness of 25/34 63-degree bend angle Supports angled ironed shaker screen frames Length tolerance (L): +/- .100” Tolerance for 1 1/4 “ short leg length: +/- .060” Thread length (T): 2.000” min for lengths less than 5” 3.000” min for lengths 5” and longer pitches Tolerance on thread length: + 3 thread pitches Bend angle: +/- 5 degrees Diameter sizes range from 1/2" to 5/8”
